The South West HCC (Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre) is one of ten regional networks in England which coordinates care for haemoglobinopathy patients across the South West. We are based in University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, but run as an independent regional network.
We look after patients with sickle cell disorders, thalassaemia and rare inherited anaemias. The aim of the HCC is to deliver equal, joined up care regardless of where you are located across the South West to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with these conditions.
